Job Description

Job Summary
 
Responsible for coordinating travel for personnel assigned within OVC locations.
 
Principal Accountabilities
(Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract.)
  • Assists in coordination and travel planning for personnel.
  • Reviews all Travel Leave Requests to ensure compliance with Company travel policies and coordinates revisions with employees, as required.
  • Processes Travel Leave Requests through approval processes. Assists employees with coordination of In-Country (INCO) travel arrangements and connecting international flights.
  • Books international flights from Afghanistan to international gateway cities.
  • Coordinates visa, clearances and other required documentation to facilitate travel.
  • Procure necessary documentation such as passports, visas, or other clearances.
  • Ensures necessary employee/travel data is captured to facilitate dissemination to user organizations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills
  • Working knowledge of company’s policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge and proficient in Microsoft (office & business) applications.
  • Outstanding organizational skills. Capable of multi-tasking.
  • Capability to interact with different levels of employees.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent, customer service interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English at test level 3+
  • Additional knowledge/skills may be required by contract or assignment.

Experience & Education
  • One year travel experience within corporate or commercial travel office, airline or travel agency.
  • Knowledge of international travel processes.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Additional experience/education may be required by contract or assignment.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment
  • Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable.
  • Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
  • Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.
