Job Summary
 
The Quality Assurance Senior Manager directs activities to ensure program Quality Management System is both robust and properly implemented. Develop metrics and systems to monitor continuing QMS effectiveness.
 
Principal Accountabilities
(Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract.)
  • Direct, oversee and ensure program compliance with ISO 9001, corporate policies and procedures, quality contractual requirements, and any other referenced requirements as needed
  • Develop, implement, or supervise the design of Quality Assurance and Quality Control policies and procedures including supplemental work instructions
  • Respond to and direct the completion of corrective action for complex Corrective Action Requests / Performance Assessment Reports received from the customer
  • Respond to inquiries received from the customer and represent DI when interacting with customer
  • Direct quality management staff projects and provide guidance on daily activities
  • Facilitate and/or participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Develop department budgets and ensure minimal variance
  • Provide critical input and serve on new business proposal teams
  • Ensure departmental reports (internal or external) are accurate, complete, and on-time
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge & Skills
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodology including Lean and Six Sigma
  • Audit and/or implementation of ISO 9001 standards
  • Clear understanding of corrective action/preventative action (CAPA) processes
  • Capable of concurrently managing multiple projects and delivering quality and timely results
  • MS Office application proficient
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint is preferred
  • Additional knowledge/skills may be required by assignment or contract and will be listed separately

Experience & Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in associated discipline is required. Two (2) years of experience may be substituted for each year of required education.
  • Ten (10) years of quality assurance experience with three (3) years in a quality management role required.
  • Lean and Six Sigma implementation project completion and Black Belt Certification preferred; Green Belt Certification required as a minimum
  • Experience establishing, maintaining, and improving a Quality Management System
  • Additional experience/education may be required by assignment or contract and will be listed separately

Physical Requirements/Working Environment
  • CONUS:
  • Generally works in normal office environment, but may be required to travel domestically and internationally on short notice, to austere environments, under harsh living conditions
  • OCONUS:
  • Some positions will be assigned to overseas locations where living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable, with long hours, exposure to weather, dust, and hazardous/harsh conditions

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
