Job Summary
 
The Property Supervisor is responsible for supervising the process and personnel to account for all government-furnished and company-owned property in assigned area.
 
Principal Accountabilities
(Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract.)
  • Supervise a team of property personnel.
  • Develop training criteria and perform training for staff and program property control personnel.
  • Ensure all new employees receive instructions on property control procedures during new employee orientation process.
  • Advise senior property manager and property managers of current status and changes within property department.
  • Perform periodic property control audits of program.
  • Identify areas of improvement and recommend changes.
  • Establish and maintain communication with customer, program personnel, and industry to assure awareness of up-to-date industry standards and automation improvements.
  • Identify and Report incidents of Lost, Theft, Damaged or Destroyed (LTDD, Normal Wear & Tear (NWT) and Excess property to the government and follow through with Relief and/or Disposition efforts.
  • Prepare and provide property reports and support the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), or assigned auditing agency in conducting Property Management System Analysis (PMSA) at sites.
  • Travel as required to audit and support current programs at other locations.
  • Ensure all government and company property is properly controlled during life of contract.
  • Perform other qualified duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills
  • Working knowledge of the FAR, DFAR and Government Property Accountability Procedures.
  • Knowledge in processes and principles of cataloging, procurement, receiving, and warehousing.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Excel and Word.
  • Good written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge in automated logistics systems such as DynMRO, FEDLOG, Property Book Unit Supply Enhanced (PBUSE), Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program (AESIP), or Plant Clearance Automated Reutilization Screening System (PCARSS) preferred.

Experience & Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in government property management.
  • Previous experience with government sales contracting and disposition of government property preferred.
  • National Property Management Association (NPMA) Certified Professional Property Administrator (CPPA) or Certified Professional Property Specialist (CPPS) preferred.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment
  • Generally works in a normal office environment, but due to operational locations of various task orders, travel may be required (domestically and internationally) on short notice, to austere environments under harsh living conditions.
