Job Description

Job Summary

Perform limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g. inventory management, storage management, cataloging, property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Assignments require a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines. Examines parts and components for conformance to design specification to determine which items are serviceable, unserviceable are repairable.  Affix complete and appropriate form\\tag for disposition, return to stock, route to appropriate shop for repair and/or turn-in. Review maintenance source documents, aircraft inspection records, notes recurring discrepancies or trends and initiates appropriate action.
Principle Accountabilities
  • Maintain storage and accountability for National Maintenance Program (NMP), and aviation repair parts.
  • Responsible for inventory management of decentralized and decontrolled items, including supplies and equipment.
  • Duties include requirements determination, forecasting, distribution or redistribution of material, procurement authorization, limited funds management, or other related work.
  • Reviews maintenance source documents, aircraft inspection records, notes recurring discrepancies or trends and initiates appropriate action.
  • Manages material deficiency and technical order improvement program.
  • Reviews engineering investigation request.
  • Initiates and reviews quality deficiency reports, technical deficiency reports and hazardous material reports, ensuring that they are accurate, clear, concise and comprehensive.
  • Provide evaluation and training to subordinate employees. 
  • Attend training and meetings as required. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

Knowledge & Skills
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Excellent Customer Service skills required.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.

Experience & Education
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to qualify and obtain a state driver’s license.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance to fill this position.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years experience

Physical Requirements/Working Environment
  • Work is performed in office environment as well as on concrete or graveled surfaces.
  • Exposed to high noise levels above 85db requiring the use of hearing protection. 
  • Frequent exposure to all extreme weather elements.
  • Required to wear safety equipment such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, and reflective vest/belt (PPE).
  • Work requires prolonged standing and walking.
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 lb continuously.
