Job Summary
The Data Entry Clerk enters data using computers and applicable software, and performs related clerical duties.
Principal Accountabilities
  • Maintain accurate computer and paper records required by supervisor
  • Operate alphabetic, numeric, and special character data entry computers and keyboards in order to record or verify data with a high level of speed and accuracy
  • Collect and enter data into computer according to instructions
  • Verify and distribute results as needed
  • Maintain organized and accurate records, files, and other materials
  • Perform related clerical and other duties as assigned

Knowledge & Skills
  • Fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English to comprehend detailed instructions and interact effectively and courteously with others
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to type 50 to 60 words per minute and proofread for no errors

Experience & Education
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience as Data Entry Clerk or similar role
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements/Working Environment
  • Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
  • Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
  • Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions
