Job Description

Job Summary
 
The Contracts Administrator is responsible for the proposal pricing model development, cost input and proposal preparation. Performs contract administration functions on new and existing contracts as signed.
 
Principal Accountabilities
  • Assists with contract negotiations
  • Develops pricing models and cost strategies
  • Monitors current status of assigned contracts
  • Coordinates with team subcontracts on cost proposals preparation and strategy for completeness and accuracy
  • Adjusts contracts due to Area Wage Determination (AWD) or Collective Bargaining Agency (CBA) if required by program
  • Organizes proposal efforts to comply with Request for Proposal (RPF), various laws, company policies and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Assists in proposal development and/or production for new business and contract change proposals
  • Documents pricing of major proposed cost elements
  • Reviews contract documents and correspondences as part of the analysis of incoming bid request
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge & Skills
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft applications. Experience working with spreadsheets
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) and related federal and state legislation and regulations
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Additional knowledge/skills may be required by contract or assignment

Experience & Education
  • Two (2) years’ experience in government contract administration
  • Bachelor’s degree in an associated discipline;  Two (2) years’ experience in accounting or related field can be substituted for each year of the four (4) years of college
  • Additional experience/education may be required by contract or assignment

Physical Requirements/Working Environment
  • CONUS:
    • Generally works in normal office environment

  • OCONUS:
    • Some positions will be assigned to overseas locations where living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable, with long hours, exposure to weather, dust, and hazardous/harsh conditions

  • Varies by assignment
