Performs a variety of warehouse duties, which include general warehousing functions, receiving, shipping, issuing, and stocking (repairable and consumable) components, parts and material and performing inventories. In addition, performs processing / coding / keying invoices and ensuring vendor accounts stay current. Inventories and completes data entry of inventoried and processed items. Prepares DD 1348 requisitions. Provides technical assistance, guidance and instruction to employees in the Logistics Driver classification.
Performs tasks as assigned / directed by Material Control Coordinator in accordance with instructions, applicable procedures, manuals and directives.
Performs the duties and responsibilities of the Logistics Driver classification.
Complies with all Government Property Control Procedures.
Provides excellent customer support.
Provides parts and material support to material control, all maintenance shops and all outlying sites as required.
Issues parts, material, tools, equipment and supplies to material control, maintenance shops and all outlying sites.
Processes EX-REP’S components in an expedient manner.
Receives parts and material from vendors and the naval supply system.
Performs a 100 % receiving inspections on all incoming material to include count verification and visual inspection for any visual defects.
Processes packing sheets and related documents verifying the item and quantity purchased is exactly what was ordered.
Verifies that the material being received has the proper certification, i.e., FAA 8130 tag or a yellow serviceable tag if received ready for issue (RFI) from Component Repair.
Generates partial or final receiving reports by imputing receiving data on computerized system.
Utilizes the Navy FED LOG computer program to tech parts for cure dates, part numbers, alternate part numbers and National Stock Number as required.
Processes Beyond Economical Repair (BER) components for disposition by generating DD1348-1 to Navy Supply.
Monitors and runs routine stock replenishment program.
Inputs A.O.G and routine stock replenishment orders into the R.A.P.I.D. /Raytheon Aircraft computer system.
Down loads NSN A.O.G’S and routine stock replenishment on the Navy computer system “One Touch” and forwards the disk to Navy supply and the base comptroller’s office.
Generates Repair Orders on NON-RFI repairable components being sent for repair and / or overhaul to Sub-Contractors and Component Repair. Issue change orders as required to Repair Orders once approved by buyer.
Prepares Shipments of parts, material and equipment (to include hazardous material) to various sub-contractors, outlying sites and material control sections. This includes properly bubble wrapping and boxing to ensure maximum protection. Also required to ensure proper labeling and ensure compliance of CFR49 when shipping hazardous material to avoid fines from the FAA.
Prepares Packing Sheets for all material being shipped to outlying sites or any other location if the material does not have a Purchase Order or Repair Order. This provides maximum control of all property and material.
Processes and distributes parts and materials from receiving section. Reviews parts, material and accompanying paperwork for discrepancies prior to making the issue or stocking the material.
Ensures all parts are stocked in proper warehouse locations and that proper rotation is adhered to.
Pulls and matches packing list with parts to complete orders. Verifies part numbers and descriptions to ensure accuracy.
Performs general warehousing functions such as building shelves, making location for new material, replacing worn-out boxes, replacing labeling, identifying/ labeling shelf life sensitive material, expanding locations and making the warehouse user friendly as well as professional looking.
Maintains Purchasing and Repair Order files.
Processes / codes / inputs vendor invoices for payment to vendor.
Performs inventories of parts & material, company and government owned property as required.
Ensures that any shelf-life sensitive and HAZMAT material requiring re-inspection be removed from the shelf and re-inspected. The procedure is outlined in the Government Property Control Procedures.
Maintains tool control of work center tools and toolboxes. Provide QA an inventory of all tools in work center. Sign in and out tools as required. Perform beginning and end of shift inventories. Immediately report any lost, stolen or damaged property to immediate supervisor.
Maintains work center Technical Publications Library. Ensure library is current with the latest revisions.
Complies with all applicable programs, including Safety, Foreign Object Damage (FOD), Hazardous Communications, Hazardous Waste, Personal Protective Equipment, and Tool Control Program.
Maintains excellent housekeeping of spaces and facilities
Works harmoniously with other employees promoting, teamwork, safety and customer support.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
