Job Summary
The Property Specialist supports assigned locations in maintaining a systemized property management process in compliance with government regulations and company policies and procedures.
Principal Accountabilities
- Provide support to assigned locations by assisting with implementation, interpretation, and compliance of the Property Management Plan
- Plan, coordinate, and perform property management activities including receiving, delivery, transportation, pickup, disposal, storage, and shipment of supplies and materials
- Assure program compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and company policies and procedures
- Coordinate, review, and forward to property management and Information Technology (IT) all improvement requests regarding the automated system
- Provide orientation to on-site new employees and ensure they have proper training to carry out responsibilities including property accountability, maintenance, security, and recordkeeping
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Excel and Word
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with people at various organizational levels
- Strong organizational skills with ability to work independently, analyze problems, and recommend solutions
- Prefer knowledge of FAR, DOD, military, or civilian property/supply management procedures
