Job Summary

The Maintenance Production Supervisor is responsible for overall maintenance production within the unit of assignment.

Principal Accountabilities
(Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract.)

  • Monitors work assignments to ensure priorities and work flow sequences agreed upon in the daily maintenance meeting are followed.
  • Responsible for the accurate data entry and reporting of vehicles assigned to the program are performed 100% of the time.
  • Ensures accurate and timely documentation of maintenance actions in related forms, records and systems.
  • Ensure that periodic reports are provided to the Maintenance Manager for scheduled maintenance inspections.
  • Ensures personnel are trained and practice good housekeeping, tool control, supply discipline, proper disposal of materials, and safety always, perform training, counseling, certification, and evaluations on the production control clerks and dispatchers to ensure program objectives are met.
  • Ensure compliance with vehicle record keeping procedures for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
  • Coordinates with applicable functional area managers, and senior leadership to ensure the departments are aware of all scheduled maintenance and the status of their equipment.
  • Monitor and ensure the calibration of special tools and test equipment are turned in on time.
  • Analyze historical data to assist management with reports and charts. 
  • Compute data for Daily Status Reporting to Upper Management. Compute data for monthly "Director's Comments".
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports as required.
  • Accurately report the vehicle status of Fully-Mission Capable (FMC) or Non-Mission Capable (NMC) on all assets.
  • Ensure all records of maintenance are maintained in historical jackets and within the computerized maintenance management system GCSS-ARMY and other approved systems, to include requests for disposition, classification, capital rehabilitation, controlled exchange, and cannibalization documentation.
  • Monitors parts received and installed Initiate and process work orders.
  • Perform other qualified duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills

  • In depth knowledge of CMF 92A20 / Production Control MOS series or another military/commercial equivalent
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft applications, general computer skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of Army regulations such as AR 750-1, AR 58-1, AR 710-2 and any other regulations regarding vehicle maintenance, production control, and record keeping.
  • Ability to multi task and work under time constraints.
  • Ability to interface with all levels of management and ability to work independently.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Additional knowledge/skills may be required by contract or assignment.

Job Requirements

  • High school Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ GCSS-ARMY maintenance experience preferred.
  • Completed and certified in GCSS-ARMY Maintenance Business Area preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience.
  • Specialized applicable vehicle maintenance courses preferred.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

  • Must be able to grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
  • May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work day shift, night shift, or weekend duty as required.
  • May be required to work more than 40 hours, evenings, weekends and holidays on occasion
  • The work conditions are normally those of a standard office environment where there is little physical discomfort
