Job Description

Job Summary
Administers the PeopleSoft application to support the application, database and hosts.  Performance tune, troubleshoot and mitigate issues to the application and infrastructure as they arise. Works with multiple teams to develop and test solutions for complex business problems and systems.
Principal Accountabilities
  • Day-to-day system administrator for PeopleSoft HCM environment
  • Administer PeopleSoft application components, including web, application server and batch scheduler domains
  • Coordinate, test and perform migrations and change packages using STAT, PUM and Change Assistant 
  • Participate in application and tools upgrades, patches and fixes 
  • Participate and support DR testing and execution
  • Create and maintain documentation of configuration, installation and troubleshooting
  • Work with DBA and PS team on refreshes
  • Participate in after-hours on-call support rotation
  • Coordinates with infrastructure team, developers, functional analysts, business users, database admins, server admins and network engineers to support the application, database and infrastructure

Knowledge & Skills

  • Demonstrated expertise in PeopleTools v8.54 or higher, with components such as application designer, data mover, SQR, PeopleCode, Query, Application Engine, Integration broker, Cobol, process scheduler, application server, web server, Tuxedo, WebLogic
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle RDBMS and SQL, release 11g or higher
  • Experience with PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 preferred
  • UNIX/LINUX, with Red Hat  preferred
  • Shell Scripting (Korn, Bash) experience preferred
  • STAT experience preferred
  • Strong communication skill to interact with IT management, functional SME’s and business customers
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows products (Excel, Word, Visio, Server 2012 or higher)
  • Knowledge of system development life cycle and project management concepts

Job Requirements

  • Five (5) years of PeopleSoft technical experience
  • Two (2) years of experience administering multiple PeopleSoft instances (Production, Dev, Test, UAT, QA) on Oracle RDBS
  • Two (2) years of experience PeopleSoft migrations
  • One (1) year experience in performance tuning of web server, app server and Process Scheduler
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or other related technical field

  • Works in normal office environment
