Job Summary
The Concrete Foreman supervises work of assigned concrete crew (5-10 finishers, helpers and/or laborers) and is responsible for the overall successful completion of all carpentry jobs assigned.
Principal Accountabilities
(Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract.)
- Reads and interprets instructions/documentation and plans work activities
- Obtains all service work orders from assigned supervisor
- Reviews all service orders and ensures they are completed on time, staffed properly and the quality of work meets approved standards
- Maintains database of all Concrete activities his crew performs
- Ensures the DCP Concrete SOP is strictly adhered to
- Assigns work to his concrete crew
- Reviews all concrete related estimates for new work and service work assigned to his crew
- Responsible for the safety training and compliance of Concrete Crew
- Ensures tools are constantly kept in a safe operational condition
- Oversees housekeeping and cleanliness of work areas and shop
- Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge & Skills
- Experience required in concrete framing/forming, pouring, and finishing
- Ability to read design drawings and specifications
- Strong people and communication skills
- Computer literate in Excel, Word, and Microsoft Project
- Additional knowledge/skills may be required by contract or assignment
Experience & Education
- Five (5) years’ experience working with concrete; minimum two (2) years of Foreman level experience
- High School diploma or equivalent required
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
- Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
- Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
- Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions
Travel
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
